With a PHD in African American Literature and a background in popular culture, Armstrong State professor Regina Bradley is offering a course dedicated to OutKast's music. Alongside other hip-hop records, the course will explore how the genre can be used as an outlet for political expression. Focusing on how André 3000 and Big Boi used the medium to "question and experiment with what is and what is not black southernness," this is one course we wouldn't mind having at 9am.
