Still in great pain from a terrible whipping, Darin is unhooked and laid on the cross. He is terrified as first his ankles then his wrists are strapped to the wood. Once the cross is winched into place, Darin immediately feels the strain on his muscular body. He tries desperately to relieve the pressure on his arms, but soon his legs give out and he must hang from his wrists. The pain is unbearable and unrelenting and it will go on for hours
