Ivan Ives - "All My Life"

Official Music Video.

The first single off of Ivan Ives' "First Of The Month" project - in which he will release a new single on the first of every month for the duration of 2010. The video for "All My Life" was done entirely using a plethora of stop motion photography techniques. The point of the video, besides to provide an entertaining companion to the song, was to explore a variety of stop motion methods and tie them all together using the words of the song, often being represented by Scrabble letters.

The entire thing can go by very quick, so don't blink! There are a lot of hidden gems and easter eggs in here.

Directed, shot, and edited by Ivan Ives.
Animation help from David Gemmill.
Graffiti by Fear One.

Special thanks to: Akili, Brian Boehner, Ann Melby, Zulema, Lola Cake, James Elder.

The track was produced by Fresh The Hitman, and written/performed by Ivan Ives.

LYRICS:
megalomaniac lego man hair in tact
we go forever back
back with endeavor that
attract a scarlet letter back
i did it for them clever cats... See More
past the elementary acts
that understand the level im at
youll never spot me drinkin bud light watchin bugs life
too busy being a+ on the beat like my blood type
plus, the thug life aint for the smug type
i used to hate it then i lived it now i love life
merriment recycled downed bottle of nyquil
went ROFL with rifle, mixed up lotto and bible
who win who loose who choose to be the greatest
i do but other crews stuck with no clue and they racist
its cuz they don't really listen to things that i'm spittin
they concerned with my hair and my jeans if they fittin
they not tight they not saggin so i fit in with no one
what i write isn't braggin but i'm hero like hogan

ive been grindin like all my life
so tonight ima make it right
lace my nikes up for the fight
and go off into the night

i'm a self made man
not a man made plan
and i'd give you hand but by my hand aint a fan
so to land at where i'm at, man i had to withstand
opened doors on both sides like your damn minivan
so respect and understand the rap skill
you were only fly a long time ago like pterodactyls
if that make you sad ah! i got some paxils
but i'm on my grind naysayers in a landfill

so you open them doors
and they hate when they see you get mo
they say you really gotta
stick to what you know
right? no, get up, get more/yours
