The background of this video is that mum had been in the last state of early onset dementia as shown for the previous two years. It was extremely emotionally draining seeing her like this. Words won’t do justice to how hard this was to watch so I’m not even going to try.
Leading up to this, I hadn’t really spoken to her. I’d help with feeding, and give her a hug, but I found any sort of conversation impossible - it just felt so pointless.

I filmed this on the 24th of April. 55 days later, 3 days before her 60th birthday, she finally succumbed to the effects of early onset dementia.

If I’m completely honest, I’m scared sharing this. I’m scared because I know there’ll be backlash from people. There’ll be those who will call me an arsehole for showing her like this. There’ll be those who say that I’m not honouring her memory or giving no dignity.
